Here we are on the second episode of Sherlock and half way though the season. Lets recap last week’s episode, well Sherlock came back from the “dead” to help solve a terrorist case. John punched Sherlock for making him think that he died.
This week’s episode starts of with an exceptionally angry Detective Lestrade.
As Lestrade it getting to a crime scene he receives a text message from Sherlock saying help, Baker Street, please come, help. Naturally, Lestrade thinks that there is something wrong. Lestrade gets to Sherlock who needs help with his best man speech. Lestrade is completely annoyed with the fact that Sherlock called him over for something so dumb. Come on we all know how Sherlock is, Lestrade should have known better. Lestrade did not realize that Sherlock will text him over something stupid so Lestrade had called in everyone to rush over to Baker Street.
Mrs. Hudson talks with Sherlock about how he feels about John’s upcoming wedding and his speech. We will find out later that Molly was very worried about Sherlock giving the best man speech. We see everyone come out of the wedding ceremony and take pictures. Of course Sherlock doesn’t get that he not suppose to be in all the pictures.
The maid of honor lets Sherlock know about the tradition of the best man sleeping with the maid of honor. Instead, Sherlock does what he can to help her find a guy at the wedding. Before the wedding Sherlock had interrogated some of Mary’s male friends especially those who were ex’s to see if she might cheat on John. He even gave some of them stipulations about the amount of times they can see her and how often they can call or text.
James Sholto arrives at the wedding and he is an old war friend of John’s. Mary did not think that James was going to come to the wedding. Sherlock was very unhappy to find out that John talks about James all the time but not about him. We all know how Sherlock get jealous easily when it comes to sharing John, no wonder most people think they are gay.
Most the episode is Sherlock’s best man speech with clips of other cases and events interspersed in.
With some reminding Sherlock remembers to read the telegrams, which are well wishes from people who were not able to attend. Sherlock starts by reading each one individually but then goes to cliff noting them. Sherlock begins with saying how he felt about John asking him to be his best man. While Sherlock tells everyone at the wedding, he had all this emotions about it. In reality, he just stood there frozen and staring at John. Which I have to say was rather hilarious. Sherlock really did not understand that he was John’s best friend.
The first movement that Sherlock does after that is to drink his coffee, which has an eyeball in it, Sherlock had been playing with the eyeball earlier and dropped it into his coffee on accident. According to Sherlock, an eyeball will not make the coffee taste bad; while I trust him, I don’t think I will be adding it to my coffee anytime soon.
Sherlock continues his awkward speech and I mean awkward speech by insulting the whole idea of marriage and pretty much everyone in the room. Come on, its Sherlock did we expect him to give a non insulting speech. Then Sherlock turns it around by saying all these great and wonderful things about John. How John is caring, warm, intelligent, and a wonderful man and how Sherlock is honored to be his best friend. Sherlock had everyone in the room crying, some how he turned the speech around. More importantly, Sherlock showed emotions and that he is an actually normal person, I am not sure how I feel about this.
Since Sherlock read a book on how to do the best man speech, he naturally followed every suggestion, so he chooses some funny stories. Sherlock goes on to talk about John’s blog (we all know how much Sherlock loves John’s blog) and mention a few their adventures by name. One of which includes an actual elephant in the room. Sherlock chooses to mention the story of the Bloody Guardsman, which is about a royal guard who is being stalked. While the guard has told others, no one seems to really believe him. Sherlock puts on one of the guards hats and sneaks in while John talks to the man in charge of the guards.
While John is talking with him, another guard runs in telling them that the guy who they were investigating (Bainbridge) is dead. John asks to examine the body but the head guard won’t let him because he thinks he is lying about being a doctor since John told him that he had been a soldier earlier. John yells at him telling him that he had been a soldier and was a doctor. By this time, they have brought in Sherlock who had been sneaking around. The head guard thinks that Sherlock did it but Sherlock puts all that to rest. Bainbridge had been killed in the shower and Sherlock is not at all wet. Sherlock investigates the scene and John examines the body. During John’s examination, we find out that Bainbridge is not dead, John asks his nurse (Sherlock) to put pressure on the wound. Sherlock does a Q&A (its Sherlock) asking people if they can figure out what the best point of the story is. Lestrade and Tom (Molly’s Fiancé) try to guess how it happened, but Sherlock being unSherlock says the best thing is how John saves lives. While Sherlock can deduce the mystery, John is amazing because he can save lives.
Then Sherlock recounts the bachelor party which I would like to note was just John and Sherlock. Sherlock decides that him and John should do a drink everywhere they found a body. After talking with Molly, Sherlock decides to conduct an experiment about drinking by using 40 ml test tubes.
After some drinking and John sneaking shots, we see John and Sherlock drunk, and somewhat sleeping on the stairs of the flat. Mrs. Hudson comes in asking them what they are doing back so soon since they had only been out 2 hours. Then Sherlock and John play a guessing game, they have to guess who the person or thing is stuck to their head.
During this time, a client comes in and during her story Sherlock and John fall asleep. She tells them that she went on a date with a ghost. Sherlock decides to take the case and they both go over to the crime scene still drunk. Sherlock starts to investigate but he falls asleep while doing it and also throws up in the apt. Lucky for both John and Sherlock Lestrade is able to get them out of jail the next day.
Sherlock becomes very intrigued by the case and deduces that the man is not dead but actually someone who uses the names and places of the recently deceased. Sherlock questions some of the girls that had been on a date with this man (in his head by this point) but he cannot find a connection between them. Until he remembers, that Tessa had used John’s full name when she had introduced himself and John to the superintendent. It took years for Sherlock to learn John’s middle name and he had to find his birth certificate. The only other female who knows John’s middle name is the amazing Irene Adler. Enter Irene Adler into Sherlock’s head as she reaches out to him he tells her no he is working he does not have time for her which suggest that Sherlock thinks about Irene at times.
Then Sherlock remembers that John’s middle name was printed on the wedding invitations. That means Tessa saw the wedding invitation and that the killer is at the wedding and after someone at the wedding.
By this point Sherlock’s speech has gone all crazy because he is deducing the answer to the crime while trying to talk to everyone else so sometimes he slips and has to cover it. Sherlock also realizes that the royal guard it connected, the killer used him as a run through of his plan by stabbing him through his belt, in by doing so the belt was the only thing keeping him from bleeding out. How to figure out who would be the target well Sherlock had to figure out who you would want to kill at a wedding.
It would have to be someone who does not go out much and lives remotely – John’s friend James Sholto. Sherlock gives him a message saying that he is the target. John asks Sherlock to end his crazy long speech because they have a cake to cut. Sherlock does and Sholto uses this time to leave the room. Sherlock quickly explains to John what is going on and John gives Mary a kiss and runs off to help Sherlock. They are on their way to Sholto’s room but Sherlock cannot remember which one it is but Mary shows up and tells them which one. They all arrive outside the door but Sholto has locked it, he has his gun his lap. Sholto won’t come out until Sherlock convinces him that they would not do this to John on his wedding day. Sholto has John come in and help him out.
Sherlock then later on deduces that the photographer was the killer. The photographer’s brother had been in Sholto’s platoon when it had been attacked and he had died. Lestrade then arrests the photographer.
Sherlock is later dancing off to the side with the maid of honor because he wanted to practice for when they had to dance later. Sherlock tells her that he actually loves to dance. Sherlock plays the violin during John and Mary’s dance and after he is done he give them a small speech where he says three instead of two.
Later on, the dance floor he tells Mary that he knows that she is pregnant. John is mad that he did not realize it since he is a doctor but Sherlock tells them that he is happy for them. After seeing that everyone was happy and dancing at the wedding Sherlock puts on his coat and leaves with a smile on his face.
I have to say I enjoyed seeing John’s wedding, I would have much rather seen him get married in his uniform like they had him do in Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. I knew Sherlock’s speech was going to be interesting; I have to say they did not disappoint. It started horribly awkward but it did have some amazing touching moments. I do wish that his speech had not been pretty much the whole episode but they did do it in such a creative way that I don’t feel like I lost anything. I am sad that all we saw of Irene Adler was a blip; she is my favorite character from the show. I know that she is only in one story but I really wish I could see more of her.
I was kinda hoping that Sherlock visited her during his 2-year absence but that remains to be seen. While he said wonders where she is, that could mean since the last time he saw which was either when he saved her or during the 2 year absence I am hoping for the later so we can see some flashback scenes. I was happy to see everyone was at the wedding granted Mycroft did not attend but he had been invited. I am wondering if the place we saw Sherlock talk to the girls was his mind palace, it would be really exciting if it was. I am definitely looking forward to seeing Sherlock’s reaction to when John and Mary’s baby is born. Everyone was trying to explain to him that things will change now that John and Mary are married.
Until next week when I recap the season finale,
Lets recap what happened in last weeks episode, well we basically get some idea of what happened to Coulson after his apparent “death”. All I can say about that is feels, lots of feels.
This episode starts off in the SHIELD academy where some of the students are going into the pool. While swimming in the pool, a giant sheet of ice starts across the top of the pool.
My first thought was Iceman is at the SHIELD Academy (yes, I know he can’t because of all the legal stuff but hey ice and its marvel – it was a logical jump to). It did make for a good action scene at the beginning of the show.
In the Bus, Ward, Fitz, Simmons, and Skye are all talking about the SHIELD Academy. Skye is trying to understand it better since she never attended. Fitz tells her she would have been recruited to the easiest part of the academy. Naturally Skye wants to know which part is the hardest to get into, Ward says Operations, Fitz and Simmons say theirs. There is definitely rivalry between those two sections, it is not surprising since we find out that basically none of the section communicate with each other. Coulson is hiding in his office looking at the file of his death that Nick Fury had sent over.
We find out that Coulson and May won’t be joining them at the academy. They instead they will be heading to Mexico to check out a lead that could give them more info into Skye’s past, not that they tell anyone else on the team this.
Ward, Fitz, Simmons, and Skye get to the academy, which causes Ward to make fun of the science division. That causes Fitz to make fun of Ward’s division. Fitz and Simmons are whisked off because well they are big shit on campus.
Fitz and Simmons come in to give a talk to the student body, which is actually going very well until Donnie one of the students turns into a block of ice. Iceman is apparently at the academy (I guess the x-mansion was getting boring) and he doesn’t like Donnie.
We find out some great information about Donnie, he is basically super smart and is a stand out much like Fitz and Simmons who were the youngest to graduate.
May and Coulson are chilling in Lola looking for the guy who could give them more information on Skye’s past.
May is trying to convince Coulson to stop obsessing about what was in the file and about what happened to him. May tells him she knew him before and after if she thought there was anything more or anything that needed to be looked into she would help him, but she doesn’t. Coulson does not want any more secrets, so May tells him that she has been sleeping with Ward. Right at that moment Coulson sees the guy they are looking for (Agent Lumley). May jumps out of the car and run after him while Coulson follows along in Lola. May gets Lumley into the alley where she fights him; this guy must have left SHIELD before May became a thing because seriously fighting her is dumb.
I will give Lumley credit he does manage to get a hit on May that might be the first time anyone has hit her all season. As Lumley is running up the fire escape to get away, Coulson blocks him by flying up in Lola. Coulson tells Lumley that they are from SHIELD and Lumley is excited to hear this because he thought they were someone else going after him. He knows that they are there because of the girl.
Ward, Simmons, and Skye all head down to the boiler room, of course Ward makes fun of the fact that they hang out in the boiler room. That is until he sees what they have done to it; of course, the nerd kids modified it, there are lights, tables, pool table, and a bar. Ward is quite jealous because they have nothing like this in Operations. Skye find out who else was up for the Sandbox (the place you want to go to) in order to find out who might have something against Donnie. Apparently, Iceman is not up for the Sandbox nor is he actually at the academy. Skye points him towards a girl playing pool; Ward goes over to make friends with her.
Well this girl happens to be fake Katniss from Starving Games the horrible Hunger Games spoof – if you have not seen it check out my previous blog post about it before seeing it. Fitz on the other hand was sent off to talk to Donnie. Donnie is doing the loner thing in his room. Fitz reaches out to Donnie by basically telling him that he was like him, he hated the school but it all changed when he made a friend. Fitz notices Donnie’s ideas along the wall, Donnie shows Fitz his idea for something else that he cannot get to work. Fitz being the helpful person that he is tells him how to fix it. Back in the boiler room, Ward continues to talk to the girl who basically tells them that Donnie and Seth have been talking to each other about how Fitz was coming to the school. They are both huge Leo Fitz fans. Fitz was never supposed to come to the school until this happened….oh no they are the ones who have been freezing everyone. Simmons calls Fitz to make sure he is all right, Fitz then realizes that Donnie was trying to create basically an ice gun. Fitz goes running towards Donnie’s room to confront him only to be hit in the head with an air gun by Seth.
Coulson and May are talking to Lumley, they find out that him and his partner had been called in to investigate a 0-8-4. When they get there, an entire Chinese village was dead and so were various SHIELD agents. They had all died to protect Skye who is considered to be the 0-8-4. Wasn’t an 0-8-4 an alien or unidentified object in the second episode? Lumley’s partner took her from a dead agents arm and then took her to an orphanage. From there Skye was bounced around different foster homes to protect her, Lumley’s partner was killed by people trying to find Skye. May begs Coulson to not tell Skye any of this information.
Donnie and Seth have been working for Ian Quinn who we have not seen since Skye infiltrated his home while undercover for SHIELD. Seth calls Quinn telling him that they have been discovered. Quinn is not happy to hear this and convinces Seth to turn on the machine so he can see what it does. Seth then peer pressures Donnie who is not sure about turning on the machine to do it otherwise Quinn won’t give them the money. Donnie does it, (note peer pressure sucks) but it is a waste because Quinn had already decided to turn his plane back around and give up on the boys.
Skye and Simmons are on the plane; Skye confronts Coulson about why he is ignoring her. Coulson then tell Skye about everything he had discovered causing Skye to cry. Coulson’s only way to comfort her is to touch her cheek. This caused a lot of feels for Skye.
The machine Donnie has created caused a massive ice storm around the school. Ward, who was chilling in the basement the whole time, tries to go outside but the storm was too much.
May decides to fly into the storm since the only way in is through the eye of the storm. Donnie tries to turn off the machine because is it causing way too much damage but the machine explodes throwing him and Seth back. May wins the pilot of the year award by flying the plane into the storm without killing anyone. The team runs out and grabs both Donnie and Seth and then flies out of there. Seth sustained horrible trauma to the head. While Simmons does her, best to save him Coulson calls it. Donnie now has to deal with the fact that he killed his only friend.
Donnie is being shipped off to the Sandbox but not as a scientist but for observation. May confronts Coulson about telling Skye about her past but Coulson tells her that Skye took it very well. Instead of it, destroying her she actually said that she was wrong about thinking no one wanted her; this whole time she had a SHIELD family watching her. Skye visits the wall of fallen agents to say good-bye to Lumley’s partner.
While Donnie is being taken over to the Sandbox, we discover that he can create ice from his finger. Again, I go to Iceman, but since this is Avengers he has to be Blizzard – I foresee a future villain.
Coulson calls Quinn to tell him that he knows what he was up to and that he should stop because SHIELD is after him. Quinn just tells Coulson that the Clairvoyant tell him hello.
This was another good episode of SHIELD, I enjoyed finding out more about the SHIELD Academy. It was great to see who popular Fitz and Simmons are now. Of course, it was great to see Ward being all Operations pride. I am happy that Coulson did not keep Skye’s past from her. It was really great to see that maturity in her character. She really took that great, I don’t think I would have taken that as well as her. I do have a question about the whole ice storm thing the machine broke. Wouldn’t that mean the storm just keeps going, there was no mention of how they stopped it. It is just disappear because if that is what happened then I think we found the cause of the polar vortex. I guess we just accept that broken machine means the storm eventually stops.
Well join me again in a few weeks when I will recap the next episode of SHIELD. I am very excited for this episode because it will have special guest star Stan Lee.
Here is a recap of yesterday’s episode of Sleepy Hollow. For one I have to say I am happy to see Sleepy Hollow again after the long hiatus. A lot has been going on over the last few episodes, which includes the discovery that Ichabod had a kid and that this kid had such powerful magic that he had to be killed. Moloch telling Ichabod that he would deliver Abbie’s soul to him.
I have to say this week’s episode starts off great with Ichabod finally wearing some new clothes. We have all been wanting Ichabod to put on some new clothes, well it has to be a lot to keep up with cleaning the same clothes all the time. Ichabod in skinny jeans, while I am normally not a fan of them on guys he pulls them off amazingly.
Of course, this does not last long and Ichabod has to change back into his “normal” clothes. Abbie and Ichabod continue to do what they can to find out how Moloch is going to take Abbie’s soul.
Over at police station, Irving is having that poor hot chocolate vendor from last weeks episode questioned and got through a polygraph. Irving cannot understand why the vendor does not remember saying what he said, well that might have something to do with that fact that the demon jumps people. The demon continues jumping people until it is a cop, who calls Irving to let him know that he will be coming for Macey’s soul. Of course, Irving goes crazy and attacks the cop but the demon has jumped people by then. I have to say this demon is super stalking Irving.
Irving calls Abbie and Ichabod because one they are pretty much in charge of all things paranormal but also because the demon wants Washington’s bible the same bible that Katrina conveniently buried with Ichabod. Ichabod and Abbie gain some time to find a way to exorcise the demon. In an attempt to discover more about, the demon they go through Corbin’s old files/videos. While they find a video that will give them the answer, unfortunately it contains Jenny – Abbie’s sister.
Irving being the smart man that he thinks he is puts his family in a safe house. I will give him credit he even brings a priest in to guard the house from the demon entering. That would have been a great idea, except that the demon possessed another cop who happened to have a buddy with him. Demon Cop, basically gets his none demon possessed buddy to remove the salt that is in front of the door, then kills him, and then goes into the house. Well Irving that was a really great attempt right there, but you failed.
Ichabod and Abbie being the respectful people that they are called in Jenny and refuse to watch the video without her there. The video was creepy, Jenny was creepy while possessed and well the possessed look does not look good on anyone.
Jenny leaves because it is all too much for her because she does not remember any of this. Ichabod happens to go outside and sees Jenny sitting in the car. They have a moment, during that time Ichabod finds out that the demon would tell Jenny that she would kill her sister. Jenny would do whatever she could to be locked back up in order to save her sister’s life. Ichabod convinces Jenny to help because they do not want Macey do go through what she did. They go back through the video again, and Ichabod gets excited because he learned how to use the pause button on the remote. Oh, how I love Ichabod and modern technology. They did discover that salt keeps the demon back. Jenny’s brain kicks in and she remembers that sometimes demons talk backwards so Abbie plays the recording backwards. I have to say that the demon doesn’t sound any less creepy backwards then he did forward. Of course Ichabod can understand the ancient language that the demon is speaking, Abbie then looks up the demon, which gives them the answers to destroy them. Ichabod remembers that France gave Benjamin Franklin some of the lanterns needed to contain the demon. France in an effort to help us with the Revolutionary War gave us some demon possessing lanterns. As luck would have it, Jenny helped a group of people procure one of those lanterns so she knows where to find one.
Irving steps out of the safe house for a moment to check in with Abbie and Irving about how things are going.
Well that was a bad idea because Demon Cop goes into the room with Macey. Then Demon Cop calls Irving to let him know that time is up. Irving runs as fast as he can but the demon has possessed Macey. I will say it again no one looks good demon possessed. Then they have a few scenes of creepy Demon Macey – these scenes make me not want to see the Exorcist movies. Irving does send in the priest to exorcise the demon – which is a great idea until Demon Macey kills him. Demon Macey is super creepy I mean really creepy, like nightmare creepy. When Cynthia comes down to see what is going on Demon Macey grabs a hold of her and threatens to kill her. Irving then calls Abbie and Ichabod to find out where the bible is because he needs to give it to the demon.
Abbie, Ichabod, and Jenny arrive at the place where the lantern is being held, Ichabod and Abbie go in while Jenny tells them how to get past the security cameras. Jenny and Abbie bond over who can pick locks the fastest, if that is not sisterly bonding then I don’t know what is. Abbie and Ichabod go looking for the lantern, which happens to be hidden high up, taller, then Ichabod high. On the way out of the place Abbie and Ichabod run into the guys who own the collection, these people are so happy to see them that they point guns at them.
These guys are basically trying to stop the apocalypse from happening which is great, Sleepy Hollow needs all the help it can get in that department but creepy Demon Macey needs to be exorcised like right now. Ichabod does his best to convince these very nice gentlemen holding guns at them to let them take the lantern to save a little girls life. It doesn’t work, but Ichabod gets an A for attempt. Luck for them Jenny shows up standing on top of the car with guns pointed at the guys telling them that they will give them back the lantern but they need to take it.
Extra lucky for them the guys have a soft spot for Jenny and that she is the best shot so they let them go. Jenny lets Abbie know that while Abbie can get in the fastest (reference to her picking the lock) that she (Jenny) can get out the fastest.
Irving is at Ichabod’s cabin trying to find the Washington’s bible since that is what Demon Macey wants. Then Irving remembers that for a brief moment Macey said Daddy while possessed by the demon. Irving has a moment where he does the father daughter bonding, which works until the wife jumps in, and then the demon goes back into control. Also apparently, the longer the demon controls you the more demonic you being to look, because wow does Macey look demonic by this point. Jenny shows up causing the demon to taunt her about wanting to kill her sister. Abbie comings in being all like look mister demon leave my sister alone.
Then Abbie taunts the demon into trying to attack her, which work because the demon gets all up in her face and then trapped by the salt. Ichabod comes in knowing exactly what to say to trap the demon into the lantern.
The demon leaves Macey who has no idea where she, also the demon made her float so she doesn’t have her wheelchair. The Irving family is happy to have a non-creepy demon possessed daughter again.
The usual Abbie and Ichabod end of the episode bonding moment happens, is it any wonder why people are shipping this couple hard-core. (I personally have not made my choice between Abbie and Katrina yet). After Ichabod squirts himself in the face with the lemon juice, we find out he putting together a liquid to show invisible ink. There is a secret message written in Washington’s bible any one else thinking National Treasure here. In addition, Ichabod was able to smell the kind of invisible ink that was used. Ichabod brings the secret message out of the books, which has a date written in it. That would not be a big deal but the date was written in Washington handwriting, which would not have been an issue except that the date was 4 days after he died. In case the episode was not creepy enough lets add to it.
Well this was a great episode of Sleepy Hollow; I would have to say the creepiest one to date. I did enjoy all family bonding that was put into the episode as a subset. Irving realizing how strong his daughter really is. Abbie realizing how much Jenny really cares for her. It was a great episode to watch, what made it even better was that it still gave background information that was pertinent to the story line. It was also nice to see something that did not have to do with Katrina and the baby. I still have not made up my mind about Katrina; I know a lot of people hate her. It was also great to see how badass the Mills sisters are. This episode pretty much taught everyone to not mess with them. I can safely say that this is one of my favorite episodes of Sleepy Hollow.
Until next week when we have the 2 hour season finale, tear, I am definitely sad to see the show go.
It is a new year and with that come resolutions, promises of things that we would like to accomplish for the year. Naturally, I sat around thinking of various things that I would like to accomplish. Of course I came up with the usual things, try to work out, see friends more, etc. The usual stuff, but then I thought what about the TFP what can I do for this. I think one of the best things I could do it expand my geek horizon. One way I plan to do this is by expanding my knowledge of some the fandoms that I am already interested in. The other is by trying to get into some new fandoms. Now we all know that people have a tendency to fail at their new years resolutions. I have found that accountability helps with that, so that is where all you lovely amazing followers come in. I am telling you what I want to do, thus I am giving you full permission to yell at me if I don’t. That also applies to all my lovely ladies of the TFP. Granted I am sure I will follow through with these, but just in case its good to have some extra motivation.
I have always been a comic book reader ever since I was little. As I got older and other things happened in my life I kinda got out of it. I want to get back into it, I already started by reading Amazing X-Men, which I have already started blogging about. I am also planning to get into the relaunch of Wolverine and the X-Men, which happens in March. They will be ending the series in Feb, so it is a perfect time to get into it.
I am also a DC girl, I love Catwoman, I am trying to figure out where to get back into these series (unfortunately the new 52 is not doing it for me), I am open to suggestions.
I have been into the Star Wars fandom since I was kid; this is something that can be blamed on my dad. He is a huge Star Wars fan (he saw it every Sat for like 2 months in theaters) and got me into, which is probably why I am a Star Wars trading card on my bio. I know a lot about this fandom to begin with, but really have not been involved in the fandom for a long time. I decided that I would get back into reading the books, since I have always been curious about the time with Jacen as Darth Cadious, I have always loved the Solo twin, Jaina being my favorite Star Wars character. I read most all of the Young Jedi Knights series when I was younger. I decided that for 2014 I am going to read the Legacy of the Force series, all 9 books of it (which will be a great help to my 30 book reading goal for the year).
I have been really curious about the dynamic between Jaina and Jacen during this time, especially the affect on their bond. I am really curious about how the ending is written because I don’t see that being something easy to write.
I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes but that is not surprising since Batman was based on him and I love Batman. Surprisingly enough I have not started watching Sherlock yet. Since the 3rd season will be airing on the 19th here in America, I decided to watch the first 6 episodes before then. That should be easy, as long as my viewing partner is up for it. I have heard such great things about it so I am excited to get into this fandom.
Ok, I will admit I am horrible at this fandom, but in my defense my mother got really into it and would make me watch it every Sunday when I was visit her for I can’t tell you how long, it was definitely over a few year period. I kinda got burnt out, but I am going to change that this year. I am going to read the books, I have all of them but the Hobbit, I’ll just borrow that. I am also going to see the Hobbit movies, since I have not seen them yet. It is not a bad series; I just have to move past the fact that it was forced down my throat over the course of a few years.
I already watch a deal of shows, but a few have managed to escape me over the years. As I said above, I will be adding Sherlock to my viewing list.
I will also be catching up on the first 2 seasons of Once upon a Time, naturally the 3rd one when it comes on Netflixs and maybe even the spin off. If I can, I would like to catch up before the new season starts.
I am also going to catch up on the 1st season of Arrow and then the second when it is added. This one I have to wait for my viewing partner to join in. Some shows I can watch on my own and some I cannot, it happens.
I also plan on adding Doctor Who in (I know, I know, how have I not been watching this?), I am going to fix that. I am also going to watch Merlin which I have not seen either. Yes, I do see a pattern with me and not watching BBC shows, I am working on it.
I have always been horrible at the getting into anime, as a kid I watched Sailor Moon and Pokemon. That does means that I am excited for the Sailor Moon reboot that is suppose to be airing some point this month, if they ever give a release date.
I know there are good animes out there, I have friends who talk about them all the time, but I fail at actually sitting down and watching them on my own. I am hoping that I can get some of my friends to sit me down and put some anime on in hopes that something will catch my eye. I know I didn’t mind it when my friends put Inuyasha on back when it was on Cartoon Network. Maybe I can get myself to sit down and watch it from the beginning. With any luck I will be able to report at the end of the year that I am into at least one new anime show.
One general new years resolution I have for the TFP, is that I am going to blog post more. This is one the ways that you will know how I am doing with my new years resolution because I will be blog posting on it. It will be easier to keep me accountable for what I have said as well. With any luck, I will also start blogging about Sleepy Hollow, Agents of SHIELD, Grimm, Dracula and Elementary. It might also help if I start live tweeting the last three as well. I am using this week to catch up on shows. I will also be adding True Blood and Game of Thrones in when those start up again.
These are just some of the resolutions that I have made for this year, I do feel like these ones will be among the easiest for me to actually accomplish. The ones will affect all you lovely followers the most. I know you will all be here to support and encourage me along the way.
Here is to a fun, geeky, nerdy 2014.
