A new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron has been released, a lot of the same footage as before but a few new scenes as well. I have to say I am loving James Spader as Ultron or at least the voice. Maybe it is because I watch Blacklist, but his voice as this character almost gives me chills. Since the movie is not due out until May of next year, I bet we will be seeing more trailers and sneak peeks until then.
Whoo-boy, has it been a big couple of days for Marvel movie announcements!
First, we get the news that Dr. Strange has been cast as none other than Benedict Cumberbatch…
Lately, Robert Downey Jr. has been very shifty with respect to the future of the franchise. He is contractually obligated to do Avengers: Age of Ultron (duh) and Avengers 3, but he has also tended to sound like more solo Iron Man films are off of the table, what with being a relatively new father, getting older, etc.
But a recent clip from Ellen has us thinking that the arc reactor still has some spark in it.
The biggest, baddest, world-destroying-est villain has been cast for the Marvel Universe movies…
And it’s the guy who played George W. Bush.
A few photos from the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron have been released, they are currently shooting in Italy.
We have some great photos of Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, I still hope that outfit is not suppose to be her costume. It fits for an early outfit but she needs something else for later. We also get to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, I am liking his outfit better, but I am not sure about the hair. It might have something to do with the fact that his beard is not the same color. Of course we get to see some of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, his actions shots look good. We have footage of Ultron unsure if it is James Spader in the suit but he will be playing Ultron.
What do you think of these first look images?
I have to say I like the Hulk concepts, it looks like we will be getting another Hulk fight scene. I love the second one because it reminds me a bit of the first Avengers movie. I like the showing of Scarlet Witch’s powers in the third one, but I am not sure how I feel about her outfit. I am hoping that is not supposed to be her costume. I do like the way Quicksilver looks in the last one, I like this outfit way better than the one from Day of Future Past. I was already pretty excited for this movie so this is only helping me get even more excited.
What do you think of the concept art for Avenger: Age of Ultron?
Avengers: Age of Ultron has added a new cast member, Kim Soo Hyun. Hyun confirmed on Twitter that she will be appearing in the upcoming Avengers movie. It is unknown at this time whom she will be playing. It has been speculated that she might be playing a scientist/doctor who works for Tony Stark. It was also speculated that she might be a villain or maybe she will be both. All we do know is that it will be a “substantial supporting role.”
A representative from Marvel had this to say:
“It would be a spoiler, so we can’t tell you which character Kim Soo Hyun will play. Marvel always prohibits telling too much about the story. Her character is already decided and the scene is already written so we cast Kim Soo Hyun, but we can’t let you know about her character. We only can say that her character is a substantial supporting role.”
It looks like we will not be finding out who she is playing before the movie comes out. I guess we are just going to have to wait and see, it look likes her role will be a pivotal one. All we can do is speculate about whom she will be playing. She might be playing Mantis, Black Lotus, Suzi Endo or as an Asian Wasp.
Who do you think that Kim Soo Hyun will be playing?
Thomas Kretschmann who will play Baron Von Strucker in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, has reportedly signed a multi picture deal with Marvel.
“That’s great of course. I have a multi-picture deal which means I will not only appear in the 2nd part, but they’re planning with me for a longer period of time. But I don’t know details yet, they’re keeping their cards close to their chest – top secret!”
No word yet on how many movies he has signed on to do but it does mean that we will be seeing more of his character. Baron Von Strucker is a part of Hydra and often battles against Captain America. If they make a third Captain America film then this could mean that Baron Von Strucker will be the villain.
